· Home Theater Control

· Computer Networking

· Data Firewall

· Telephone/Intercom

 

Because of the integration, all the above functions can be monitorable and controllable anywhere in the home, and remotely by phone, pocket PC, or internet web site.  New homes may use structured wiring, while existing homes may use other communications infrastructure.
